GLDS Partnership Round Up 2013
The last year has been anything but slow at Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS). That’s because we’ve been busy coming up with new, innovative ways to improve our services and solutions, while developing new partnerships with some of the industry’s leading companies. In case you missed any of our big news, here’s a recap of our latest partnerships.
GLDS Teams Up with ADTRANThis past September, we completed integration between our WinCable subscriber management and billing system and ADTRAN’s AOE Management System and the Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access Platform. The new combined solution is being deployed for Troy Cable – a Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) provider operating in five cities in Alabama – and will offer complete service delivery control of voice, video and data services directly from the billing system. ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 provides GPON gigabit access technology as a solution.
With the new billing system integration, we will be able to minimize revenue loss significantly and ensure better customer satisfaction. Direct provisioning, which the billing system provides, will allow operators to manage ‘triple-play’ service delivery more efficiently, eliminating the need for multiple, disparate systems. This will allow operators to manage their FTTH network without any additional mediation or provisioning layers.
“ADTRAN is very pleased to have integrated with the GLDS WinCable billing system. Automation is the key to operational efficiency and savings for our customers. ADTRAN developed AOE, or Advanced Operational Environment, with automation and ease of integration in mind. We look forward to exploring additional customer opportunities with GLDS,” said ADTRAN’s Director of Marketing Kevin Morgan.
GLDS Partners with Ignite Payments
This past summer, we completed the integration between our WinCable system and Ignite Payments, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Data, credit card processing platform using the GGe4 (First Data’s premiere processing gateway). Ignite Payments was recently selected by BizUnite & the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) as a preferred processing partner with exclusive, pre-negotiated rates for NCTC members.
The combined solution will now offer additional cost-effective credit card processing options to hundreds of our customers nationwide. With the new billing system integration, we will continue to help operators minimize credit card processing expenses and ensure greater customer satisfaction.
“We are excited about this partnership. We have been working towards it for some time. As one of the largest payment processors in the nation, Ignite Payments represents a number of associations and buying groups as a preferred vendor. NCTC has fully explored and tested our ability to deliver on our promises,” said Ignite Payments’ agent Jerry Smith.
