Top Three Things Cable Operators are Thankful for this Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a time when families across the country gather around the table to eat a smorgasbord of delicious foods and discuss what they are most thankful for this year. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, and in the spirit of the holidays, we decided to explore the top three things cable operators are most thankful for this year:
- An IP-based network: IP-based networks allow operators to meet the increasing customer demand for a more intuitive viewing experience. IP-based networks allow operators to offer a better user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) to consumers, while driving down the cost of set top boxes in the home. Moreover, IP video service delivery significantly reduces an operators’ CAPX.
- Owning the biggest pipe into the customer home: In the early 2000’s, broadband and telecom providers invested in laying down pipes into consumers’ homes in order to make every home “connected.” The investment has proven extremely beneficial, as operators now have control of the home experience and a big advantage in helping other companies reach the end consumer.
- GLDS’ subscriber management solution: Now we know this is a little self-serving, but we couldn’t help ourselves (pun intended). WinCable, our broadband billing and subscriber management system, gives operators more operation control, yet less restrictiveness, than any other system currently available. The solution helps improve your bottom line, provide your CSRs with the tools they need to provide better customer service, and allow you to offer services that will drive customer loyalty and improve customer retention.
