Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager, Product Manager or Business Analyst to help bring tailored solutions to key GLDS customers.  The candidate must be able to act independently, under general direction and minimum supervision, to lead the execution of strategic goals and deliver on plan. The candidate must demonstrate the qualities necessary to help create and promote Best Practices. It is critical to have the communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with diverse stakeholders and influence without authority promoting the best outcomes. Critical thinking, troubleshooting, winning attitude, ability to collaborate, proper use of escalation, communication skills, prioritization skills, risk management skills and willingness to contribute with ideas for improvements on both technical and business areas are key elements for success in this role.

We’re looking for someone with a healthy respect for both the business and technical side of software with a degree in one field or the other, and strengths in both. Maybe a major in one, and minor in the other.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze business processes/flows and software product utilization across multiple business units, work groups, and stakeholders within our broadband service provider customers.
  • Facilitate the collection, prioritization, and scope definition of business requirements from our broadband service provider customers and translation of those into Technical Requirements for use in the creation of software solutions.
  • Research best practices, competitor strategies, and market trends to help shape the solutions we build.
  • Participate in activities such as resource planning and prioritization.
  • Participate in organizational change management activities and contribute to process improvements.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, industry leaders and integration partners.
  • Communicate constructively as part of a team to avoid and solve challenges.
  • Communicate effectively using multiple channels and with multiple audiences (Business and Technical)
    Drive negotiation of priorities, manage project constraints and work as a liaison between Business and Technologies teams to deliver initiatives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders about project status, milestones, and obligations (met and unmet).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology
  • 3 plus years of work experience:
    • In Information Technology Project Management
    • With Business Analysis helping stakeholders with Requirements Gathering and organizing projects from Concept Phase
    • With documentation of Project artifacts
  • Positive, can-do attitude and a desire to attack your work and drive those around you to internal and external deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in the face of adversity and an ability to work through uncertainty.
  • PMP Certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and project management for Business and Operational Support Systems (BSS/OSS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or others complex software systems.
  • Aspiration for lifelong learning and personal growth as a manager and leader.
  • Ability to run effective meetings and getting buy-in and participation from stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to network across multiple organizations with proven track record of winning the confidence and trust of colleagues.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects from Concept to Implementation and assisting on Production Support activities.

 

Employment preference given to US Citizens, although we will employ those independently eligible to work in the United States.  Only in rare circumstances will we sponsor a work Visa.  

Salary commensurate with experience.
