State of the Company/Market
We’ll look at GLDS strategy within the context of current industry events. Garrick will take us through the state of the company, discuss company philosophies, and paint a picture of what you can expect in the months and years ahead. We’ll hear perspectives on near and long-term opportunities in Broadband, including commercial and residential, stand-alone and MDU, wi-fi, metered billing, smart cities, smart utilities, new competitors and more.
BroadHub Review
While we typically introduce one major release per year, it’s been a busy year for GLDS, and our user base. The public release of BroadHub at BAM!18 was 2.0.14; this year, we’re live with version 2.5.x. With several significant milestones met, you’ll learn about everything that’s changed and gain insight as to where we plan to take the platform in the next year, and beyond.
Commercial Services Wrap-Up
Over the last couple of years, we’ve added a suite of new features, designed to better address management of commercial customers. The effort is complete, and we’ll talk, at a high level, about the suite of solutions. We’ll fly over each before we dig in deep in later breakout sessions.
BroadHub Interfaces
Long considered a cornerstone of our strategy, GLDS offers interfaces to more than 70 different third-party partners ranging in scope from text imports/exports to fully automated multi-vendor, multi-service provisioning flows. We’ll talk about the value of pre-integration, and of automation, and take a “big picture” look at what options you have available to you today.
Job Engine Improvements
What could be considered the biggest change for this feature in the last decade, GLDS has overhauled the Job Scheduler and introduced several significant improvements. You’ll learn about its migration to a Windows Service and about new scheduler recurrence schemas, delivery expiration, delivery retry schema, and more.
MyBroadbandMarket Advancements & Platform Demo
We’ve always maintained that your customers should be able to get help when they want, where they want. GLDS has taken that to the next level with the introduction of our customer-facing shopping mall, called MyBroadbandMarket. With it, your prospective customers can also get help when they want, where they want. MyBroadbandMarket can take your prospective customer from website visitor to educated shopper, or even fully empowered buyer.
BroadHub Sales Launch Lessons & Demo
Empower your field sales team and give them real-time access to a user-friendly version of BroadHub for field-based order entry. Automation helps even the most basic users sell products, schedule work orders, and strike while the iron is hot. We expect to be out of beta and into production by BAM!20. Hear what we’ve learned in the process.

Share your tips and tricks with us by submitting here. If we use your Tip/Trick, we’ll send you a GLDS notebook, and you’ll get your very own GLDS “face tattoo” at BAM! Wednesday night. Of course, we’ll make sure you get credit for your submission at BAM! too.
BroadHub Care, Feeding & Administration
Purposeful management of the BroadHub platform can mean the difference between sleeping well and losing it all. From backups and restores, to using BroadHub in a PCI-compliant way, we’ll take you through the ins-and-outs and make sure you’re not the subject of our next disaster recovery case study. We’ll even talk through ensuring data integrity and the cleanup and purge of old, unused data.
Wish List, Next-Gen
We’re introducing a new web-based, crowd-validated, method of suggesting new GLDS product features. You’ll have an opportunity to submit your suggested features, to sort through others’ suggestions, and to vote for those features you’d like to see us build in the future. We’ll introduce you to the platform and show you how to get started.
BroadHub Builder
While GLDS has moved Wish List to a crowd-sourced, web-based platform, we still benefit from face-to-face input. We’ll share our vision on some proposed product enhancements and then give you an opportunity to provide real-world details that will help us, help you. You’ll engage GLDS Product Marketing, Management and Development teams in telling us how you’d like to see specific features implemented.

It doesn’t generate any revenue for you; Customers never see it. However, most operators wouldn’t get much done without Work Orders. Because the scope of field work has changed so much over the years, GLDS continues to develop this very important feature. Preparing for a MyBroadbandMarket Launch

Most operators that have launched MBM spend dozens of hours with package clean-up, stylizing the portal, and otherwise preparing for launch. Preparing for BroadHub Upgrades
Yes, we understand (firsthand) the difficulty in keeping up with the volume of changes within the BroadHub platform. However, the pace of the industry demands more of the platform than ever before and GLDS is committed to ensuring the product meets tomorrow’s market requirements. That means change, and lots of it. The list of things to check, and data to clean, grows longer with each new version. Join us as we look as some of the most significant gotchas we’ve seen in recent releases and then help you better prepare for your next upgrade.
eBill Configuration Workshop
Beginning with BroadHub 2.3, the GLDS eBill has taken on a whole new life. Leveraging much of BroadHub SuperBill functionality, the eBill now allows users complete, on-screen control of layout, grouping, and sorting. With these new features, you’ve got the ability to create a stellar bill. In this breakout session we’ll show you how to make the most of the changes and discuss similar third-party print and mail options to compliment the new eBill format.
