GLDS Wraps Billing, Subscriber Data Management Integration with ADTRAN @B/OSS World

October 1, 2013 by Daniel Santa Cruz | Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS) has completed integration between its WinCable subscriber management and billing system and ADTRAN’s AOE Management System and the Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access Platform. This solution will be deployed for Troy Cable and will offer complete service delivery control of voice, data and video services directly from the billing system, the companies said.

The billing system integration is designed to reduce revenue loss and ensure better customer satisfaction.Direct provisioning, provided by the billing system, will allow operators to manage triple-play service delivery more efficiently which will, in turn, eliminate the need for multiple disparate systems. This will allow operators to manage Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) networks without additional mediation or provisioning layers, GLDS said.

“Automation is the key to operational efficiency and savings for our customers,” said Kevin Morgan, ADTRAN’s director of marketing. “ADTRAN developed AOE, or Advanced Operational Environment, with automation and ease of integration in mind. We look forward to exploring additional customer opportunities with GLDS.”

GLDS has more than 70 partner companies across all service verticals and provides to small and medium-sized operators with tier-one functionality. GLDS solutions include stand-alone and cloud-based billing, subscriber management, field management and provisioning software.
