GLDS and the NCTC Team to Enable Integrated VU-IT! Control for NCTC Members

ORLANDO, FL – July 18, 2016 – GLDS, the leading provider of customer management and billing solutions for small to mid-sized broadband service providers, today announced it has certified a recent National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) integration effort which connects its VU-IT!, Powered by TiVo, platform to GLDS’ own BroadHub billing and customer management system.

The NCTC’s new partnership with TiVo will allow NCTC members to offer their end customers a best-in-class user experience where members may not have been unable to do so otherwise. The new NCTC offering, operating under the federated brand VU-IT!, aggregates and streamlines many of the back office and operational functions allowing for reduced upfront integration costs and annual support fees as well as lower license fee rates.

GLDS offers value-based billing, customer management and provisioning solutions for more than 125 NCTC member operators.  With the recent certification, NCTC member companies using BroadHub for billing & customer management will see real-time engagement with the VU-IT! platform including authorization, de-authorization and change management for both equipment, as well as demand and subscription-based content.

The first broadband service provider to use the integrated GLDS/NCTC solution was Vyve Broadband.  “The GLDS interface with VU-IT! allows for rapid rollout of the TiVo platform – launching the service is significantly easier now that the certification is complete, offered Vin Zachariah, SVP of Residential Services at Vyve Broadband. “It’s almost plug and play.”

“To maximize efficiency, operators must integrate billing and customer management with customer-facing service delivery elements. Anything short of real-time integration has both economic and customer service implications,” said GLDS’ President Garrick Russell. “The NCTC stepped up on behalf of their members and tackled the effort at a global level, ensuring that all NCTC members could participate in this integration without individual development costs.  The result means broad benefits, wide adoption, and lower costs.”

“We remain committed to providing our members access to the technology and products that give them a cost effective approach to deliver technology-rich TV experiences,” said Corey McCarthy, NCTC’s CFO & SVP of Business Development. “We appreciate GLDS for their continued support of this initiative.”
