Clearcable Launches New Outage Management System with GVEC and BSS vendor GLDS Enhanced System Will Provide Subscribers Proactive Alerts, Outage Visibility, and Self-Service Options
GONZALES, Texas, Feb. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Clearcable, a leader in network services, today announced the launch of its new Outage Management System (OMS), deployed at GVEC with GLDS’ OutSmart™, a comprehensive outage management suite. This state-of-the-art OMS is set to transform the way GVEC manages network outages, providing subscribers with real-time alerts, outage visibility, and enhanced self-service options. The combined solution reduces the need for customer support calls and empowers subscribers with the latest in outage information.
Developed and implemented by Clearcable, a premier solutions integrator, in conjunction with GLDS’ OutSmart, the OMS was specifically tailored to meet GVEC’s requirements for streamlined and effective outage detection, reporting, and mapping. GLDS’ OutSmart enables proactive SMS and e-mail alerts, real-time updates, and outage communication with integrated third-party systems. The new system allows subscribers to check known outages in their region directly, greatly improving GVEC’s overall customer support experience.

Allowing an operator to either triage and release a confirmed outage or automatically release known outages to GLDS’ OutSmart platform, in turn recording a per-subscriber outage audit trail, for all subscriber communications for customer self-managed opt-in communications.
